World Cup trophyWelcome to World Cup Skills: a literacy, language and numeracy skills project inspired by SkillsActive with the help of a number of partners.

The World Cup Skills project is to promote literacy and numeracy, using the power of football to engage young people and adults across the UK. The 2010 FIFA World Cup is a unique opportunity to hook fans, social players, football club staff and volunteers in football into brushing up their literacy language and numeracy skills.

Throughout the tournament starting 11 June 2010 through to 11 July 2010, we are promoting literacy and numeracy through daily quizzes and challenges.

Log in everyday and join in the fun, participate in the daily first and second half quiz questions and daily challenges, read the quote of the day and learn interesting facts and figures about the World Cup tournaments, teams and players over the decades.

Win great prizes!

Enter the competitions and win prizes like tickets to matches and signed memorabilia. Pass the web link on to your colleagues, friends, family and fellow footballers and get them all to join in the fun.
