National Qualifications

There are national qualifications available to demonstrate proficiency in adult literacy and numeracy skills – the National Certificates in Adult Literacy and Numeracy. These are the available at Level 1 and Level 2. Achieving the Level 2 national test in adult literacy or numeracy demonstrates that you have skills at the level you would need to achieve a GCSE grade A*-C in English or maths. The national tests are multiple-choice tests.

If you would like to take a skills check and see how yours measure up, visit the Learner Route from the Move On website. You can also locate a test centre near you.

You can enrol on an English and maths course leading to the National Certificates in Adult Literacy and Numeracy for free!

The Learner Route – a free on-line learning resource

If you would like to do some on-line learning then try the Move On Learner Route. You can register your details and it will put you in charge of how, when and where you brush up your English and maths skills. It is designed to help you prepare for the national tests.
